In order to meet the ever-changing landscape of the farming industry, the American farmer must always find ways to be as efficient as possible.  Handling seed in a bulk manner has been a viable means to accomplish this need.  Conventional augers tend to grind and fracture the product because of the operation of the steel screw, forcing the seed to the discharge end.  Belt conveyors on the other hand carry the product, providing efficient protection to the seed.  Because conveyors use a pliable rubber or PVC product, and are not rotating, the risk of serious injury or even death is greatly minimized.

Illinois based KSI Conveyors is focused on providing efficient conveying equipment for transporting grain and/or seed without damage or injury to the seed or operator.  They have accomplished this goal with the use of the patented cleated belt.  This cleated belt moves seed more efficiently than conventional augers, has the ability to perform at an angle up to 40 degrees, and can handle material in a gentle manner, resulting in very little material damage.

The patented drive configuration of the conveyor system located the drive roller within an adjustment plane of the tube, allowing the conveyor belt full surface to surface traction with the vulcanized drive roller.  This allows full horse power transfer to the belt for drive purposes.  The high-capacity conveyors with either cable lift or scissors hydraulic lift are capable of loading 6,000 pounds of product per minute, with a slight variance factor due to density changes in the product.

The conveyor is completely enclosed, allowing for very clean operation with minimal spillage.  With the high value of seed, this is very important for optimum yield and productivity.
